I made this on Pages and then couldn't figure out how to post it to the grad credit blog. So here is a picture of it. Not sure how else to post it. Hooray I failed! And tried again!
Some people in the cml16 group asked me to share the way I was able to get the halftone image on my laser-cut box. It is easy-as-pie, once you realize that good people like Jason Dor ie has created simple-to-use software and has made it available: http://jasondorie.com/page_cnc.html. There are two programs that I use: reactor and halftoner. It took me a little while to realize how easy these are to use: download the programs, open one or the other, and simply drag any image into the window. The halftoner program will create code that you can send to a CNC machine, or you can simply capture the images that are created any other way you want (I use the "snipping tool"), then use them. Play with the settings and use the "preview" feature until you get what you want. The "reactor" program is hypnotic.
